Community Outreach

One of my critical goals as founding Dean of the School of Business and Leadership is to involve the faculty, and students in community outreach activities. In September of last year, the School of Business and Leadership hosted some of the top African American business leaders in the Baltimore area.

Our most recent activity is hosting Turner Construction Company’s Construction Management Program. This program has been administered nationally and the purpose of the program is to develop small businesses to partner with Turner Construction Company on large construction contracts. Twenty-three minority and women-owned businesses attended class from March 5 until April 21. The classes were held at the School of Business and Leadership. The participants expressed great satisfaction in having classes in our state-of-the-art facility.
